Who we are
This website is operated by Synergy Retreats LLC Limitada, 400m sur del Cementerio de, Provincia de Puntarenas, Uvita, 60504, Costa Rica. For anything about your information, write to events@synergycostarica.com.
When you browse
Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (your IP address, browser type and the pages you request) to keep the site running and secure.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: the pages viewed, the device, an approximate location, and the steps taken when searching for dates or sending a request. Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga to recognise a returning browser.
Google Tag Manager loads the analytics tags on this site.
When you check availability
The dates and number of guests you search for go to our booking system, Guesty, to show live availability and prices. No personal details are needed for this.
When you request a booking
Your name, email address, dates and number of guests go to Guesty, which holds your dates for 24 hours. ChargeAutomation then emails you a secure payment link and takes the payment through our payment processor. Card details are never entered or stored on this website.
When you send us a message
The details you send through the contact, retreat and date request forms (name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, time zone or city, dates, group size, booking reference and your message) are emailed to our team at events@synergycostarica.com through Resend, our email delivery service, so we can respond using your preferred contact method. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your information, use it for advertising beyond Google Analytics’ standard reporting, or collect card details on this site.
Who else handles your information
Vercel (hosting), Google (analytics), Guesty (bookings), ChargeAutomation and our payment processor (payments) and Resend (email delivery). Some of them store data outside Costa Rica, including in the United States, each under its own privacy policy. If you follow a link to Instagram, WhatsApp or Google Maps, that service’s own policy applies.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept for as long as Costa Rica’s tax and accounting rules require. Messages and requests that don’t become a booking are kept for up to 24 months. Google Analytics keeps event data for the retention period set in our account, at most 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to events@synergycostarica.com. Under Costa Rica’s Law 8968 you may also contact the Agencia de Protección de Datos de los Habitantes (PRODHAB).
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and its date.
